Raising Funds for Cancer Research with Illini4000

Donation protected
Illini 4000 is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for cancer research and patient support services, documenting the American cancer experience through the Portraits Project, and spreading awareness for the fight against cancer.

Every summer since 2007, members of the Illini 4000 embark on a 4,000 mile cross-country bike ride, cycling from New York to San Francisco over the course of 75 days. In preparation, each member raises $4,000 for donation to our beneficiaries. Past beneficiaries include the B+ Foundation, the largest provider of financial assistance to families of kids with cancer in the United States, the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation, which funds high-risk, high-reward cancer research, and other impactful organizations. During the ride, we contribute to The Portraits Project by recording the unique narratives of the American cancer experience from the communities we journey through.

With over 275 alumni so far, the Illini 4000 has raised over one million dollars, ridden over 58,320 miles, and collected 410 portraits. This year, we hope to continue our mission and raise $100,000 as a team with the help of all of you! Any support is deeply appreciated.

Please note that the Illini 4000 is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so all donations made to us are tax-deductible.
