Michael Giles at Two Hoots needs a wheelchair van

Donation protected
Michael Giles and Anita Willis have been pillars of our community in Cobble Hill. Together they are the proprietors of the Two Hoots Gallery and gift store. Michael has taught pottery to countless aspiring potters and lately at the Shawnigan Lake School.
Those who have had the privilege to work with him know his kind soul, generous heart and most creative spirit. His passion for his art and contributing to the community always shows in the depth and twinkle of his eyes. He is truly an amazing spirit.
Unfortunately his health is declining rapidly due to ALS. ALS is a progressive motor neuron disease with no cure. Anita expressed recently that she needs to find a wheelchair accessible van quickly to improve his mobility and quality of his remaining lifetime. The ALS society has gracefully supplied Michael with a wheelchair and other items from their loan program. At this time funds are limited for Michael's requirements.
In Anita's words for which I hope she doesn't mind us sharing,
"I hope our community understands that we would never ever take advantage of anybody's kindness. We would use what we need to buy a reliable used Van and donate the remainder to the BC ALS Society as they have been profoundly helpful and kind."
Our goal is $15,000. Thank you for your kindness, consideration and generosity.
