Tomas and Anastasia Jurgelis will participate in the Tokyo Marathon on the 5th of March, 2023, to support the fundraising effort of the charity Voices of Children in Ukraine (https://voices.org.ua/en/).

As parents, it is hard to read the news in today's world and not be frustrated with the world where it is today and the future of our next generation. We would be very grateful if any of you, no matter how small, could support the work of Voices of Children, which tries to do its best to help children affected by the war.

Since 2015, the Voices of Children Charitable Foundation has provided psychological and psychosocial assistance to children suffering from hostilities. Today, thanks to donations, the Foundation offers psychological support and individual humanitarian aid to families and works with communities and institutions for children nationwide. The Foundation has nine centres and a hotline for free psychological assistance. More than 60 psychologists, psychiatrists and psychotherapists of the Foundation do their best to ensure Ukrainian children do not lose their childhood and smiles.

Since Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine began in 2022, the Foundation has significantly intensified its activities. It has helped more than 4,500 children receive qualified psychological assistance and provided humanitarian aid to more than 13,000 families.

The Voices of Children received an early membership in Eurochild, the leading organization for protecting children's rights.

In early April 2022, Forbes ranked the most effective charitable foundations. The Voices of Children was among the top ten, having raised UAH 68.3 million for the needs of those affected by the war.

The world media recognized the Foundation's work - BBC, CNN, and celebrities such as Madonna and Oprah Winfrey.

Together with its foreign partners, the Foundation took part in filming the documentary A House Made of Splinters (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt16377920/), about the everyday life of children in an orphanage close to the front line. The film has shaken up the world community and has been nominated for an Oscar in the Best Feature Documentary category.

The voices of Ukrainian children were heard around the world.
