Hi My name is Judith. I have a step son named Mario Urbina. Mario was born November 4, 2011 with no medical issues. He has always been a healthy, fibrant, intelligent young boy. During the pandemic, mario had covid. On April 2021, mario began to feel ill and we did not know why. His father took him to the emergency room, where he was told Mario was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. It is very difficult for us and mario’s mom to take him every 3 months to doctor appointments, due to missed days of work. We have found a doctor in Costa Rica that is able to help with treatment but with treatment comes a cost. Our whole family believes this treatment will help mario, and help mom and dad since they work 6 days and have a hard time with having a diabetic child. Its never easy but we want mario to live a normal life like the rest of his friends. I am organizing this fundraiser since myself and his grandmother are the only ones who iare able to take him to Costa Rica being that both parents are immigrants and are not able to travel or have no time off because they must work.

Despues que le detectaron en el 2020 que tuvo el viru del covid, a los meses mario no se sentia bien. Su papa lo llevo en abril 2021, al hospital de emergencia donde lo diagnosticaron con tipo 1 diabetes. Es difícil llevar cada 3 meses al médico al niño para sus tratamientos y también costosos. Recién, encontramos un medico que puede ayudarnos con nuevos tratamientos pero con esos tratamientos hay un gran costo. Quiero ayudar a la familia de mario y sus padres a llevar a marito a costa rica para que marito pueda vivir una vida normal como todo niños sanos. Gracias por su apoyo.
