On March 2, 2017, we have received news that have thrown our lives into anguish and despair. My oncologist gave us the shocking news that I have colon cancer that had mastasized to 60% of my liver. This puts me at stage IV colon cancer. the surgeon told us (family) that for me to survive after a liver surgery I will need to have 30% of healthy liver. That is simple math and gave us hope, so we thought (100-60=40). 40% liver left after the surgery, that's 10% more I should be good to go. To our surprise, we were told the contrary. The surgery will also remove some of the good liver leaving only about 15%-20% of the good liver; therefore, they can't do the surgery. 12 chemo sessions later, I had more cat scans in September and was told that they found another mass on my liver. My oncologist referred to a radiation doctor, they recommended that I do a Yttrium-90 ( Y-90) radiotherapy which is supposed to be the best option for me at this time. Y-90 radiotherapy sends radiation directly into the blood vessels that feed the tumors. This treatment does not cure liver tumors. But controls or shrinks them. After this therapy, I was to get more chemotherapy or surgery.

Mid December after I underwent 2 radiation treatments that targeted tumors located in the liver. Weeks after those days I was highly ill, a reaction I didn't expect to happen, I threw up several times a day for 7 weeks. I was so weak that I couldn't drive let alone involved other activities including caring for my 3 years old son.

I started to have gastritis and at this point my sister was able to convince me to go to Cancer Center of America in Philadelphia. I saw the GI doctor and they did a scope and biopsies, blood work and found I also has ulcer in my stomach in my dode and with inflammation.

April 9th, we were told that the mass in her liver doubled in size and will be starting a new genomics treatment this Friday. Please help us pray for my body to take this treatment, heal this illness and prolong my life.

I am not the type of person to ask of others, but my family and I needs help, this illness is threatening my family's foundation and if I to give this horrible illness a fight and win I needs all the help I can get!

Please help me, I wants to see my son grow and wants to continue to realize the life goals. I wants to be the best mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend and professional that can be, but I can't do it without your help!  Thank you!
