Hi! My name is Josie Durrett, and I want to share something that I need your help with.

I have Type 1 Diabetes, which means I have to check my blood sugar all the time. It can go too high or too low really fast, and sometimes I don’t even feel it—especially at night while I’m asleep. It's super scary, and it makes it hard for me and my family to relax.

That’s why I’m trying to raise money to get Ranger, a specially trained diabetic alert dog!

Why I Need Ranger

Ranger will be able to smell when my blood sugar is changing—even before I feel anything—and alert me or my parents. That could literally save my life. He’ll help keep me safe at night, during school, and when I’m just trying to be a normal kid.

With Ranger, I’ll feel more confident doing everyday things without constantly worrying. He’ll help me be safer and more independent.
