Thank you for taking the time to visit Lisa's Go Fund me Page

My name is Dean, the husband of Lisa I am raising funds for my wife’s treatment of Adenoid cystic carcinoma within her Sinonasal cavity (nasopharynx) with the hope to improve her long term outcome, so we can all spend a lot longer together as a family.

Lisa is a 38-year-old mum to two young boys, a loving wife to myself, a daughter and sister to a close supportive family.
We live in Somerset, and we want to raise funds for life-prolonging Proton Beam treatment, giving her more time with the people she loves and raising awareness of the rare aggressive cancer Adenoid cystic carcinoma.

Lisa has bravely shared her story in her own words, so you can understand her journey

This is Lisa's Story below...

" My name is Lisa and I never imagined I would be on here doing this but I really need your support to raise the funds for Proton Beam Therapy.

After a difficult year in 2025, our lives changed forever when I was diagnosed with ACC in the Sinonasal cavity area, an extremely rare form of cancer. One minute I was working, being a mum to next facing radical surgery and uncertainty of what's to come next.

I have already undergone major surgery to remove as much of the cancer as possible. My survival now depends on additional radiotherapy.

The tumor sits dangerously close to my eye, optical nerves, brain and pituitary gland. Standard radiotherapy carries real risks including risks of loss of vision, cognitive damage, hormonal imbalance and an increase of secondary cancer later in life. As a young mum those risks are devastating to think about.

My oncologist had referred me to the NHS proton panel to request Proton Beam Therapy (PBT) , for a far more precise form of radiotherapy that reduces damage to healthy tissue and lowers the risk of life-changing side effects. Sadly my application was declined by the NHS.

I am not asking for luxury. I am just asking for a chance to see my boys grow up without a shadow of preventable complications.
With proton I will be able to lead a normal life after treatment, live fully & not just survive.

If you are able to donate, no matter how small the amount, then thankyou so so much it means a lot to me, if you cannot donate please consider sharing this post.
Every share brings hope to me and my family.
Thankyou
Lisa"

Proton Beam therapy is highly effective and favorable for treating complex ACC, limiting the long term side effects but due to some inconclusive results within the NHS, unfortunately this has caused Lisa's eligibility to be missed, consultants have appealed as they know this is the right treatment for Lisa but it ultimately leaves us with raising the funds for the best treatment and as soon as possible.

We will be forever grateful to everyone who donates, shares the story, or simply keeps us in their thoughts.

Any funds raised will go directly towards treatment, travel, and care. We will share updates as Lisa's journey continues.

Thank you
