Hi, I’m Sonia and I’m raising awareness for Retinitis pigmentosa (RP). RP is a rare, progressive eye disease that I had never heard of until my diagnosis in November 2024.

RP slowly takes away vision, beginning with night blindness and loss of peripheral sight, and it affects far more than just eyesight. It reshapes daily life, plans for the future, and the way you move through the world. I want to raise awareness so individuals don’t have to face RP alone or misinformed.Education helps friends and family understand how to offer meaningful physical and emotional support, creating a stronger, more compassionate circle of

care.

Through this fundraiser, I hope to shine a light on a condition that deserves more understanding, support, and research, and to help build a future filled with more answers, resources, and hope for everyone living with retinitis pigmentosa.
