Hi, my name is Diya and I’m a student from New York.

I’m starting this fundraiser because my grandma has bulbar ALS, and seeing what she and my family are going through has deeply impacted me. ALS is a devastating disease that affects the nervous system and takes away a person’s ability to speak, move, and live independently. It doesn’t just affect the person diagnosed, but their entire family.

Many people don’t truly understand how serious ALS is or the impact it has on people’s lives. That’s why I want to help raise awareness and support the fight for a cure.

I’m raising money to support people and families affected by ALS and to help fund research. All funds raised will be donated to ALS organizations that support research, advocacy, and families impacted by this disease.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps bring more awareness, support families going through this, and move closer to finding a cure.
