Because not all miracles have wings—some have fur and four paws.

Hi, my name is Rosie, and I’m the proud mama of a brave little girl named Ellie.

Ellie is full of joy, love, and so much strength—but she faces challenges that aren’t always visible. Ellie has Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS), a rare and complex genetic condition that affects her brain’s ability to regulate impulse control, hunger, emotional regulation, and sensory processing.

For Ellie, simple things like transitioning between environments, handling loud sounds, or resisting the urge to act on a thought can quickly become overwhelming or even dangerous. She often needs support to help her stay calm, safe, and regulated in everyday situations.

That’s why Ellie now has a teammate—Miracle, a beautiful, fluffy goldendoodle who is being trained to become her service dog.

Under the guidance of a professional trainer at Hands and Paws Canine Training, Miracle is learning to:

Interrupt dangerous or impulsive behaviors before they escalate

Provide calming deep pressure therapy when Ellie feels out of control

Create a safe buffer in crowded places to reduce overstimulation and protect her space

Offer consistent, nonjudgmental companionship that helps her feel secure and confident

This isn’t just a dog. This is Ellie’s Miracle.

Unfortunately, training a service dog properly is expensive—upwards of $15,000. Because this is a medical need that insurance doesn’t cover, we are reaching out to our community for help. Every dollar raised will go directly toward Miracle’s training and certification.
