Cason is the sweet 12 year old son of Jason and Melonie Price, the brother of Colton. He is the nephew, cousin, grandson and friend to so many who we know have been praying and watching his journey.

After 6 days of grueling symptoms that no one should have to endure, he finally emerged from a lengthy surgery on 1/27/25 that left him with a partial colon, on dialysis and days/weeks/months of recovery ahead.

The family has been instructed to take the next days only 12 hours at a time. Cason is at Shands Children's Hospital in Gainesville, FL. His parents will be here indefinitely.

on 1/28/25, Cason is now receiving 24 hour, round the clock Dialysis treatments. He is tentatively scheduled for his second surgery tomorrow (1/29). This will be a step by step (or stitch by stitch, as the surgeon calls it) process until his abdomen can be completely closed. All the while his family and loved ones and supporters are rooting for him and praying for his kidneys to return to normal.

1/30/25 The infectious disease is a very rare strand of E Coli. Origin is unknown at this time. This particular strand is so aggressive, a rare blood disorder has set in and consumed part of his intestine (of which has been surgically removed), shut down his kidneys (which is trying to be circumvented with dialysis) and, as of hours ago, has started to show negative impacts to his brain scans. Cason is still scheduled for his abdominal surgery Thursday morning barring any additional complications.

1/31/25 Cason’s abdominal surgery didn’t go quite as planned but there was a good report from the surgeons about his intestines. However, there is essentially no part of sweet Cason’s body that’s not been affected by this. Peace and rest are the goal(s) right now. His brain and heart conditions are paramount, all the while the doctors are fervently working on removing the toxins from his blood. Your contribution and support whether monetary or otherwise is treasured and appreciated.

To know Cason is to know constant giggles and his contagious grin. We would love nothing more than for him to bounce back from this with more vigor and playfulness than he had to begin with!!
