Hi my name is Jenny and I’m raising funds to pay our carpenter to build us a two tiered raised platform in the pond aviary and the gull shed aviary. Currently, we have camp beds and mats on paving slabs. With torrential rain, the ground gets wet as it comes streaming down from the road. We have had an amazing roof structure built but found the ground was still getting wet. So, our idea is that these beautiful beds will stretch across the back ( the whole width - over 4 metres) of each aviary. The lower platform will be for the more disabled birds and the upper platform for those that like to get up high. The front edge will have a slight raised edge to keep the hemp bedding from falling out. The whole structure will be off the ground in the roofed section so as never to get wet. The birds will be safe, dry and warm.
