RAISE TO STOP CANCER

Hi, my name is Tamara and I am the sister of Carlos Storms, we are raising money for his cancer surgery and recovery. Some of you may know Carlos as one of the STORMS crew, or a MOTO brother you have seen out on the track. For those of you that know Carlos, you know that he has a gigantic heart. He always has a great story to tell and is one of the best listeners. To us he is a loving, devoted husband to Gina for over 25 years, a loving father and grandpa, a brother and uncle. Our dear brother, Carlos has a large Cancerous and aggressive growth on his nose which requires immediate surgery to stop the spread of cancer to the bone and potentially other areas of his body which can be fatal.

Carlos is scheduled for a two-stage surgery to remove the cancer, in the first week of March. The first procedure is to remove the growth which will remove half of his nose, this surgery requires a very large deductible ($9100). The second surgery is to cosmetically reconstruct the nose from other parts of his body. Sadly, insurance will not cover the cosmetic process which will leave him severely deformed, he may require multiple procedures. This has affected his psyche and he does fear what is on the other side of this for him.

Carlos is a very proud man that doesn’t ask for help easily. He is the sole provider for his family, and he would give anyone the shirt off his back. We know he has a long and hard road ahead of him and we are asking you to please help us raise the funds to stop his cancer. Between medical expenses and missed work, he will certainly need all the help he can get. He was adamant that we do not post pictures of the affected area or the aftermath when half his nose is removed. We are honoring his wishes, but please know the surgery is extremely invasive and we are praying it hasn’t grown into his bones.
