Help Finish Three Classrooms for 250 Children in Uganda

In Kasese, Uganda, children have already done something extraordinary: they have helped build the bricks for the four walls of their future school.

Now, they need our help to finish what they started.

This school will serve approximately 250 children and include three classrooms. Right now, many of these children are trying to learn without proper classrooms. Rain or shine, they continue showing up for school, but without a safe and completed building, their learning environment is extremely difficult. When it rains, the unfinished structure and ground are vulnerable to damage. When it is dry, the space is dusty, uncomfortable, and far from what any child should have to accept as a classroom.

Many of the children this school will serve are orphans, including children whose lives have been deeply affected by war, displacement, and poverty. Despite everything they have faced, they continue to show resilience, hope, and a strong desire to learn.

We recently received an update from one of our certified teachers, who is helping lead the classroom project in Uganda. The engineer has advised that the first urgent goal is to raise $2,600 to bring the three classrooms up to the beam level. This step is incredibly important because once the classrooms reach beam level, the structure will be better protected from rain damage while additional funds are raised to complete the roofing and the rest of the build.

That means the first goal is clear:
Raise $2,600 to protect the classroom structure and move the build to the next critical stage.

From there, additional funds will go toward completing the concrete floor, roofing, and final classroom construction so these children can have a safe, stable place to learn.

This project is supported through Humanity’s Promise International, a Canadian organization with roots in the Calgary and Cochrane area. Humanity’s Promise works to provide practical humanitarian support to vulnerable communities, with a focus on creating long term opportunity through education, food security, agriculture, and community development. Their work is built on the belief that real change happens when people are given the tools, support, and dignity to build better futures for themselves and their families.

At its heart, this fundraiser is about helping children who have already shown up for themselves. They have made the bricks. They have carried the hope. They have done what they can with what they have.

Now, we have the opportunity to come alongside them.

Your donation, no matter the size, will help move these classrooms to the next stage, protect the structure from rain damage, and bring 250 children one step closer to learning in a proper school

Every brick is already a promise. With your help, we can turn those walls into classrooms.
