Raise the Roof for Brad
Donation protected
Since 1982, Brad Reardon has been the longtime manager of Rockingham Feed & Supply/Dodge's Agway in Exeter, NH. To this day, he is greatly respected in the community for his equine and farming knowledge. His special interests include backyard farming, draft horses, and draft animal competitions at local agricultural fairs. During the last few years his health has declined to the point where he is in need of a liver transplant due to Crohn's Disease. He is otherwise quite healthy, so his chances of receiving a liver donation are greatly increased.
Extra expenses are always a concern for people facing life-threatening illness. Brad's case is no exception: extra milage to and from appointments, medical testing and expensive prescription drugs are a major concern. However, it has come to the attention of Brad's friends and coworkers that Brad's roof is in serious need of replacement, right down to the rafters. We have skilled folks ready to install the roof, but we need help covering the cost of materials.
Will you help us "Raise the Roof" for Brad to help give him one less worry as he faces surgery and a long recuperation?
A Note from long time friend John Hutton:
"A humble or quiet guy, a man of few words with a wicked sense of Yankee humor: that is Brad Reardon to a T. We who know Brad know that he is the last guy to ask for help, but the first to offer it. The Lockes, the Websters and the Huttons, when the decision to hold a fundraiser was made, and because we know the guy would never ask, just told him "this is what's going to happen". I know we caught him at the right time because it was clear that he was aware that he couldn't do it all.
So, let's all show him that good deeds do get repaid. Brad has helped all of us at one time or another, whether it was physically or with his vast knowledge of the Exeter store. You could find him volunteering every summer at the Stratham & Lancaster Fairs, throwing hay bales to get the hay in before it rained, and telling you before checking the stock if he had enough bags of that sheep grain for you."
A fundraiser is being hosted at Coppal House Farm on Saturday March 4th from 4-7 pm. Please join us for a fun night of wagon rides, bonfires, and baked goods to show Brad how much he means to all of us. Suggested donation to attend is $20 per person. If you cannot attend, please consider donating on this page. Thank you!
