Mansfield cat rescue needs your help to support our cats in rescue!
This year we have been overwhelmed with complicated cats who have cost us a pretty penny. Some have been rehomed, some are now sanctuary cats. Whichever way you look at it, we’ve had to fork out a lot of money!
All of our cats receive a standard
neuter (£40+ for a castrate or £120+ for a spay), vaccination course £70+), microchip £20) and parasite treatment (£30+) whilst in rescue. Our adoption fee is only £180, meaning we rely on our supporters and fundraisers to cover the remainder of our bills.
Here are some of our cats stories but there are so many more….
Beautiful Hugo has now been adopted but when he came to us as a lost boy with FIV, he needed over £800 of dental work (he only has two teeth left bless him) on top of his standard neuter, vaccinations, microchip and parasite control.
Anthony came to us with a horrendous infected wound back at the start of the summer. He’s doing really well now, most of his fur has grown back and he is socialising super well with his fosterer. His initial treatment and ongoing care cost us over £1000 - worth every penny!
Little Ozzy came to us needing surgery on his leg back in July which was done for us at a very reduced rate by our wonderful vets (a referral centre would have charged thousands) but the bill was still over £800.
Many of our sanctuary cats have medical conditions that require medication, some examples of these are Big Ginge who is on gabapentin for spondylitis and Jelly Bean who has Senvelgo for his diabetes.
These are just a few of the cats’ stories and we need your help to continue helping more cats! Without the support of our followers, our work just isn’t viable
