Hi all,

We as a Pontypool RFC 24/25 playing & management squad are partaking in 'Movember' this year to help raise money in memory of former player Kristian Smith who was better known to all as 'Long Dog'.

Long Dog sadly passed away this summer unexpectedly, leaving behind his expecting partner Lisa and now more recently his now new-born daughter. We as a squad are aiming to raise as much money as possible for his partner Lisa and their born. All donations raised will go directly to Long Dogs family.

Many of you will have fond memories of his larger-than life character as he was well known for his infectious energy, warm heart and never failed to bring a smile to people he surrounded himself with.

Longdog had a stellar sporting career representing Abertillery, British Army, Blaina, Cardiff, Nantyglo, Pontypool, Merthyr, SGS Filton, Tredegar and more recently Shore Mixed Martial Arts.

Kristian spent the majority of his career serving as a Soldier in the British Army for over six years. This included serval tours defending our country. Kris put his body on the line for us. But now as a group of friends, it’s time for us to do something for him.
