Gordon Ramsdale Fundraiser

I'm raising money in aid of Wigan & Leigh Hospice and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us as a family.

Gordon was diagnosed with MND in January 2024 and spent several weeks in the Hospice at the end of his life. The staff and nurses were excellent, very patient and caring with Gordon in the final weeks of this distressing illness.

Gordon had two loves in his life, his family and his fitness. He was a lifelong sportsman, playing rugby until the age of 67. At which point he took up running, completing more than 200 park runs over the next 12 years.

He is missed by Sheila, Rachel and Toby and his six grandchildren. Not counting the many friends who attended a celebration of his life at Wigan Rugby Union Football Club where he spent many happy years.

Any donations will be very welcome to the Hospice, given they receive limited Government Funding and are always severely short of funds.
