Raising money for T.I.C Tourette’s charity
“Hi, my name is Isaac, I am 8 years old and earlier this year I was diagnosed with Tourette’s Syndrome.
My diagnosis came after several years of experiencing many physical and verbal tics which were often overlooked by the professionals as being “ADHD tics”.
After talking to the neurologist about how my tics made me feel, how my peers responded to my tics and how I felt when I would get a negative comments about my tics, he recommended a charity called T.I.C Yorkshire (Tourette’s Inclusion in the Community), who provide schools with much needed educational assemblies and presentations. These assemblies help to educate pupils (and teachers too), provide a different perspective and help people like me to feel understood.
T.I.C Yorkshire have very kindly contacted my school to arrange an assembly, but as they are a charity (RCN 1184015), they do rely on donations in order to facilitate such assemblies. That’s where I come in. I would like to take part in a number of fun and exciting fundraising events to raise as much money as possible to say thank you to T.I.C Yorkshire.
Your support means so much to me and I will keep you all updated with every step of my fundraising adventure!
Thank you!”
