Running for Mum: A Journey of Gratitude and Remembrance
Twelve years ago, my mum was diagnosed with a brain tumour—a diagnosis that would change our lives forever. Through every challenge, setback, and moment of uncertainty, Mum fought with unparalleled bravery and determination. She faced each day with a strength that inspired everyone around her, leading by example and showing us all what it truly means to never give up.
In the final weeks of her life Trinity Hospice stepped in. Their care and compassion provided comfort not only to Mum but also to our entire family. My family and I will forever be grateful for the kindness and dignity they extended to her in those last moments.
Mum had a special love for the Isle of Arran. It was her place of adventure, peace, joy and endless family memories. To honour her memory and give back to the incredible people at Trinity Hospice, I’ve decided to run the 57-mile circumference of Arran over two days. This run is not just a physical challenge but a tribute to the strength and resilience Mum showed throughout her life.
Every mile I run will be for her and for the countless others who find solace in the care of Trinity Hospice. My goal is to raise funds that will allow this charity to continue providing the same compassionate care to other families facing the most difficult times of their lives.
I invite you to join me on this journey. Whether you can donate, share this page, or simply send words of encouragement, your support means the world to me. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most, just as Trinity Hospice made a difference in ours.
Thank you for being a part of this mission, and for helping me honor my mum in the way she deserves.
With heartfelt gratitude and determination,
Nat Norris and family
