We are Hope for Young Hearts, four passionate students dedicated to educating the Greater Toronto Area about childhood heart diseases, conditions that take far too many young lives without proper care and support. We commit to championing these urgent concerns and being the voice for children and families who are too often unheard.
Childhood heart diseases come in many forms, including:
- Congenital Heart Disease (CHD): affects 8 to 10 out of every 1,000 live births
- Rheumatic Heart Disease: impacting around 40 million people worldwide
- Kawasaki Disease: occurring in 9 to 20 children per 100,000 under the age of five
Our mission is to shine light on these hidden struggles by reaching out to families, healthcare professionals, and children living with heart diseases. We believe every child deserves a chance at a healthy life, and that journey begins with education and compassionate care at Hope for Young Hearts. Through community events and social media campaigns, we create a supportive community where voices are heard and lives are changed. Together, we support every young life, because behind every heart is a story worth saving!
