Hi, my name is Gianni Maldonado.

I am a 2 year HS stater and State Placer for the Brandon Eagles Wrestling Team. For anyone who has been involved in sports of any kind knows its extremely rewarding but in many cases rather expensive.

Here is my story....

I am a 16yr. old sophomore heading into my last 2 years of High school which are the most important years before heading off to college. I have qualified to represent the Florida National team in the 2022 Duals tournament in Indianapolis and the Prestigious Fargo National Tournament in Fargo, North Dakota this Summer. I am requesting any donations or sponsorship to assist me in achieving my goal.

Let me 1st explain why this tournament is so important for me. This tournament is the most significant national tournament for high school-aged wrestlers in the US. It brings the highest caliber high school-wrestlers together on one stage for all to see including and more importantly college scouts and recruiters.

My ultimate goal since I started wrestling has been to obtain a scholarship and be able to wrestle for a D1 college/university. This trip would increase my percentage of reaching that goal.

I have been working diligently at my craft since I started at the age of 10 years old. The work that I put in to this sport speaks volumes of my current accomplishments and I must say it's very rewarding yet grueling but I would not have it any other way as my success depends on it (you get out of it what you put in to it).

In the last 6 yrs that I have been wrestling I have learned valuable training and expertise from many different coaches and trainers and im also grateful for my mother and father who have always stood by my side, guiding me and teaching me to be a great role model that society can be proud of. I have placed 1st or 2nd in various significant tournaments over the years. I was on a National team for the notable AAU Disney Duals the last 2 yrs. I also competed on Florida's National Dual team in Indianapolis last year . I was a state placer as a Freshman taking 5th place and improved to 2nd at States as a Sophomore just this year.

Going to Fargo would be a tremendous opportunity for me to showcase my skills and to see how I stack up against the best in the Nation and even making All American at this event can possibly gain a college opportunity. Unfortunately sometimes reaching our goals can prove a bit challenging as far as cost even with earning stipend money by winning local tournaments. This tournament in paticular will cost around $1100 as it is an 8 day event. Any assistance would be helpful and greatly appreciated in reaching this great goal of mine. Thank You
