Sponsored walk to raise money for the DCF SEN department

Hi, my name is Eimear and I am doing a sponsored walk up the Mourne mountains to raise money to help develop the special educational needs department within Dominican College. These funds will allow us to add many additional resources into our support hub within the school including a library corner equipped with bean bags and a new book shelf.

My brother was diagnosed with autism very early in his life and this led to many years of difficulty with his education, very recently he could not complete his transition from primary school to secondary school as not enough schools were equipped to support his needs.

I hope that this fundraiser will help to ensure that all pupils that attend our school will feel welcome and safe within this environment and that all their needs will be supported.
