Raise money for the amazing work that Macmillan do
Towards the end of last year a fellow friend and colleague was diagnosed with Lymphoma. This devastating news came as a total surprise to all and has been a roller coaster of a journey. Despite this life changing diagnoses, this is someone who has approached a scary path with an incredible amount of courage, a positive attitude and has continued to always look on the bright side; he even pulled out all the stops to share a dance at our Christmas party and continues to put a smile on the faces of those around him with his wicked sense of humour and antics. I am in awe of just how amazing he has been and how his bravery has shone through.
Inspired by him, I have taken on the mission of completing my first Ironman in New Zealand. What is an Ironman? Well it is a triathlon consisting of the following distances 3.8km swim, 180km bike followed by a marathon 42km run. You have a 17 hour time cap (2:20hr swim, 8:10hr bike, 6:30hr run). So ... wish me luck :) I am raising money to help continue the amazing work that Macmillan Cancer Support offer to warriors battling this toxic disease. I would greatly appreciate any form of donation no matter how small.
Thank you for you donation!
