We are setting up this fundraiser for a precious little boy named Teddy, who has been fighting an incredibly frightening battle since being admitted to hospital on Friday.

What should be a time filled with newborn cuddles, precious first moments and the excitement of bringing their little boy into the world has instead become an unimaginable nightmare for Teddy’s family.

Teddy has become seriously unwell and is receiving intensive medical care. He is fighting sepsis and meningitis/meningoencephalitis, and his doctors are deeply concerned about his neurological condition. He has been experiencing seizures and requires specialist care, medication and support with his breathing.

Although his vital signs have been stable at times, his neurological condition remains a significant concern. His medical team are continuing to monitor him closely, carry out investigations and provide the treatment he needs as they fight to get this precious little boy better.

No family should ever have to face something so frightening, especially when their baby is only days old. Teddy is so tiny, yet he is facing something so enormous, and his family are living through every parent’s worst fear.

Throughout this incredibly difficult time, the care, dedication and support provided by the team at Sheffield Children’s Hospital have meant so much to Teddy’s family.

Now, we want to give something back.

With the full permission of Teddy’s parents, we are hoping to raise £600 to fund a special star at Sheffield Children’s Hospital and bearing Teddy’s name.

The star will be put up at the hospital as a lasting and meaningful tribute to Teddy. It will be our way of saying thank you to the incredible hospital and its dedicated teams for the continued care, compassion and support they are giving to Teddy and his family during the most difficult time of their lives.

Every penny raised through this fundraiser will go towards Sheffield Children’s Hospital as a heartfelt thank you for everything they are doing to help Teddy.

We know times are difficult for so many people, and we completely understand that not everyone can donate. Whether you can spare £1, £5 or anything at all, every contribution will bring us closer to our £600 target. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page would mean just as much.
