Roman’s diabetic service dog

Hi, my name is Morgan and this is my son Roman. He’s a sweet, kind, athletic 9 year old boy and on February 1st 2022 our lives changed forever when he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Our lives have changed a lot since that day but he’s remained happy and so resilient. Many people don’t realize the constant toll this disease can take on a person, you get no breaks or days off, it needs to be watched constantly. We have had many many sleepless nights of high and low blood sugars. Technology has come a long way and is great today but as we all know technology fails. Having a diabetic dog to alert us of these changes would be amazing and life saving. Roman is athletic and busy which I love but can make his blood sugars harder to manage. This extra support in our lives will be life changing. Thank you for the support!
