Raise funds for Ricky’s new sensory swing
Donation protected
Hi friends, I’m Megan and the sweet boy in the picture above is Ricky.
Ricky is an artist, a master Lego builder, and a Scooby-Doo fanatic. When Ricky was three, he was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and received an ADHD diagnosis shortly afterwards.
Ricky is very limited in his verbal language skills, as well as his social skills. He receives occupational, speech and physical therapy; with the help of these services, and an incredible team of teachers, Ricky is making slow, but continuous gains.
In the past year, Ricky has outgrown some of his essential therapy equipment. Having a new sensory swing in our home would drastically improve Ricky’s quality of life.
Sensory swings can help people on the spectrum feel calm and safe, while aiding in vestibular processing. They can also improve core strength and balance.
Even with grants offered by The Autism Alliance and OPWDD, therapy equipment is extremely expensive. Any help we could receive to purchase this swing and help bring some calm to my amazing boy’s life would be deeply appreciated.
Thank you for reading
Love-
Megan
