For 15 years, Sports Coaching Group has been helping children build confidence, stay active, learn new skills and create lifelong memories.
Now, to celebrate this milestone anniversary, two dedicated members of the team, Tom Kesteven and Lucas Turner, are taking on their biggest challenge yet.
Over five demanding days, they will cycle an incredible 500 kilometres, visiting 41 schools where Sports Coaching Group currently delivers its services across Cheshire and beyond.
The challenge is not simply about distance. It is about making a difference.
Our goal is to raise at least £1,000 for two causes that sit at the heart of the organisation.
The first is EMPHASIS Community Interest Company, the parent organisation of Sports Coaching Group, which works tirelessly to create opportunities for children and families.
Funds raised will help provide free holiday club places for children who may otherwise miss out on the chance to take part in enriching activities, make new friends and enjoy unforgettable experiences during the school holidays.
The second cause is MIND, the mental health charity, chosen in memory of former Sports Coaching Group Operations Manager James Ellwood.
James was one of the company's most respected and much-loved employees.
Beginning his journey as a Lead Coach, he quickly became known for his passion, dedication and commitment to supporting young people and colleagues alike.
He later progressed to Operations Manager, helping shape the organisation during its formative years.
Tragically, James passed away in 2016, but his influence continues to be felt by those who worked alongside him and the countless children whose lives he touched.
This challenge is an opportunity to remember James, celebrate his legacy and raise awareness of the importance of mental health support.
Every mile cycled will represent the thousands of children, families and communities Sports Coaching Group has worked with over the last 15 years.
Every donation, no matter how large or small, will help create opportunities for young people while supporting a charity that provides vital mental health services.
Thank you for your support.
