Raise money for Marine Conservation Volunteering

Donation protected

My name is Jenny Beattie and I'm reaching out to ask for your help in raising £3,000 for marine and wildlife conservation with Global Vision International (GVI). This organization gives volunteers a chance to make a real difference for the environment and our ecosystem. This year, I’ve been given the opportunity to participate in a marine conservation project in the Seychelles, where I’ll be studying coral reef regeneration and working to protect marine life in this special ecosystem.

The Seychelles has some of the world's most diverse sea life, but it's also facing a severe environmental crisis. Rising sea temperatures have led to mass coral bleaching, which has damaged and destroyed coral reefs that support hundreds of marine species. In some areas, over 90% of the coral has died, leaving fish, sea turtles, dolphins, and sharks without the environment they need to live. This drop in biodiversity threatens the entire marine food chain and puts many species at risk of extinction.

While in the Seychelles, I’ll be helping to restore these damaged coral ecosystems. By bringing the coral reefs back to health, we can give marine animals a stable environment to thrive in. Coral reefs support nearly a quarter of all sea life, so restoring them is vital for those species' survival. The work I’ll do will address coral bleaching and support endangered species, helping them recover and repopulate through the rehabilitation of injured animals in the area.

Besides being a full-time university student about to finish my first year in biomedical science, I also work part-time at Humble Crumble. This project perfectly aligns with my studies and passion for marine biology . In September, I’ll continue my education at UWE in Bristol, concentrating on wildlife ecology and environmental conservation. This expedition will provide hands-on experience and let me make a real difference for endangered marine species. The funds I raise will cover essential trip costs like transport and other resources needed for this important work. Your support will help revive these underwater ecosystems and ensure the survival of many species for future generations.

Please help me make an impact on marine conservation and ocean life. Your support will not only change the future of the Seychelles' marine ecosystems but also benefit the countless creatures that live there.

Thank you for your support and dedication to protecting our planet's marine life.
