Raise money for lifesaving treatment

Thank you for your willingness to visit my GoFundMe page.

This is by far the hardest thing I have ever done. No one imagines themselves in a position to ask for financial assistance due to an unexpected illness.
However here I am, knowing that this is the only hope I have to extend my life as long as possible.

After a few weeks of experiencing a slight tingling sensation in my left arm, I decided to make a doctor's appointment on 29th December 2023. I was sent to hospital and admitted with a suspected stroke.
On New Year's Eve 2023, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

On 24th January 2024, I had an awake craniotomy to remove as much of the tumor as possible & a biopsy was performed at the same time.

The results confirmed it was it was high-grade 4 glioblastoma multiforme (GBM)
An aggressive form of brain cancer that has no cure. Due to the nature of the tumor, it can never be fully removed due to blood vessels being attached to parts of the brain that to dangerous to touch & therefore the tumor is likely to return.

The average survival time is devastatingly short – just 12-18 months.

Before this, I was fit & healthy, going to CrossFit 5x a week, looking forward to continuing my studies to become a counsellor & enjoying life with my family.

I am a mum to 9 children ages
27 24/22/21/17/14/ Twins 12/ and 9 years old. I'm also a stepmum & a Nana to my first granddaughter who was born just 7 weeks ago.
Two of my children have autism & other special needs. I need to do all I can to ensure I'm there for them all & my two beautiful bulldogs as long as possible. They need their mum & I need to be with them.

I am currently receiving the UK standard of care treatment which is a maximum of 30 radiotherapy treatments. Chemotherapy can only be continued for 6-12 months depending on many factors. Therefore, I am looking at what options are outside of the NHS

I am in the early stages of researching which treatments will be most effective for my specific type of cancer. Treatment options are very limited, but there is a vaccine (Dc-VaxL) that is showing promise in the field of immunology, doubling survival rates and, in the case of some people, prolonging their lives in years rather than months.

Another option is to wear a head device for 18 hours a day that uses wave-like electric Tumor Treating Fields (TTF) to interfere with the division of the cancer cells.

All options are extremely expensive up to around £250,000.
And will also require some level of funding for accommodation costs staying near treatment centres and travel costs. I am unable to drive because I immediately had to surrender my driving licence on diagnosis due to the possibility of seizures.

These costs are unattainable for me. I have set up this GoFundMe page in the hope that I can raise enough money to be able to afford life-saving treatment.

If you can help in any way, I cannot express how grateful, my family and friends would be for giving me a chance at life. I thank you for your kindness and support ❤️
