I’ve never done anything like this before… but then again, I’ve never turned 70 before—so drastic measures seem appropriate!
As I approach 70 at the end of May, I thought I’d set myself a challenge: between 21st March - Down’s Syndrome Day and 28th May,my birthday, could I raise £70 for the Down’s Syndrome Association? Just £1 for every year—bargain, really!
If you were thinking of getting me a birthday present… this might be easier (and I promise not to complain about the lack of wrapping paper).
Every donation, big or small, will help make a real difference.
My grandson Jacob brings me endless joy. He’s also taught me something far more important than anything I could wish for—that an extra chromosome is not a disability, but a beautiful difference.
Jacob, my grandson, my joy. Extra chromosome, extra love.
Thank you so much for helping me celebrate turning 70 in a way that truly means something.
