Running for Recovery: In Memory of Blake Breidenbach

Tax deductible
Hello everyone,

My name is Hannah, and in two months, I’ll be running the Zermatt Ultra Marathon here in Switzerland in memory of my brother, Blake Breidenbach—whose life was cut far too short by the devastating impact of addiction.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to Chucky’s Fight, a charity based in Seabrook, NH, dedicated to fighting teen substance abuse. They offer support to individuals ready to begin their recovery journey and build a healthier, sober life.

What makes Chucky’s Fight so special is its focus on the root causes of addiction—working with youth, speaking openly about trauma, and breaking down the stigma of being labeled a “drug addict.” Addiction doesn’t always look how we expect. It’s layered. It’s complex. And it often begins with unhealed pain.

If you had the pleasure of knowing Blake, you’d agree he was kindhearted, selfless, undeniably funny, and incredibly talented—a young man full of potential who deeply cared for others, even while fighting his own battles.

This run is for Blake—and for everyone still trying to find their way out. Every step I take is a step toward change, and every donation brings someone closer to hope and healing.

To be honest, I was hesitant to fundraise from halfway across the world. But then I thought—why not give it a shot? Social media can do amazing things when it’s rooted in something real. And this is as real as it gets.

Please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser. Let’s honor Blake’s memory by helping others write a different ending to their story.

With love,

Hannah
