Half Marathon for Cancer Fund for Children

Dear All, everyone knows someone whose life has been affected by cancer. It seems to be everywhere.
During the past 4 years our family has been hit hard by cancer and it has robbed us of the best father and husband. Leo passed away in July 2023 after an incredibly brave battle with this horrible disease. 4 months later I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I have now recovered after completing chemo, surgery and immunotherapy and am going to run the London Landmarks Half Marathon with my sister-in-law Emma. Our family have benefitted from the support of many charities and I want to raise valuable funds for Cancer Fund for Children and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me. While running the 13 miles it will help me to get over the line to think of all the donations and the children that will benefit from Cancer Fund for Children.

More information about The Cancer Fund for Children: Every week in Northern Ireland, another three children, teenagers or young adults are diagnosed with cancer. We help these children and their families through practical and emotional support at home, in the community and on the hospital ward as well as at our therapeutic short breaks facility Daisy Lodge in Newcastle, Co Down. We also support the whole family, as well as young people coming to terms with a parental diagnosis of cancer and bereaved families.
