Kinematic Everesting Charity Event for Brighter Dayz

We're raising money to benefit Brighter Dayz.

Brighter Dayz are an inclusive activity and respite centre, ensuring parents/carers get a well-deserved break, reducing social isolation whilst promoting parental well-being, based in Wigan. They aim to provide flexible, high-quality and person centred approached day-care services to children and young people with a variety of additional and complex health needs and life limiting conditions.

With members of our gym using their facilities regularly, we thought that it would be a great charity to raise money for...

Here's what we're going to do...

This December, Kinematic's charity event will be an Everesting attempt. This is a popular challenge amongst cyclists, and consists of one hill, being ridden up and down until you reach the summit of Everest - 8848m.

The hill we've chosen is Shaley Brow. 1.6km at 14%. It's a killer. To Everest this hill, I'll need to do it 86 times. And I'm inviting you all to join me!

86 ascents = Everest
57 ascents = Mount Kilimanjaro
51 ascents = Everest Base camp
13 ascents = Ben Nevis

There is going to be the option of doing as many ascents or as little as you’d like. Solo or in teams. On bike or on foot.

All we're asking for is a £10 donation per person to come along and get involved.

I'd like as many people as possible to get involved. We'll be doing a YouTube Vlog series showing training towards this so keep eyes peeled to see how we get along!

Thank you so much to everyone that has donated or has got involved. We're really grateful for all of your support and hope to see you on top of Shaley Brow on the 6th December!
