In Loving Memory of Brian Schieweck

Donation protected
This GoFundMe has been created by B’s friends from his time at Northern Michigan University. Brian was a beloved son, brother, teammate, and friend to countless people. While he will live forever in our hearts, it was important to us that his memory may carry on tangibly. By request of the Schieweck family, we are asking those who loved B to show their support in our effort to cover the costs of his memorial gathering and provide further relief to his immediate relatives as they grieve this impossible loss.

Upon hearing the news that Brian unexpectedly passed away on February 8, 2023, his 23rd birthday, we were absolutely devastated. If you were lucky enough to have known him, you know that you will never meet anyone quite like him ever again. Undeniably unique, Brian touched the lives of everyone he met. B was the kind of person who would meet you once and make sure he said hi to you every time he saw you afterward. He was the best person to know if you were having a bad day; he knew how to get a laugh out of anyone. Without question, B was one of the most loyal people we will ever know. If Brian told you he had your back, he meant it, and always stood ready to prove it.

An exceptional athlete at Chippewa Valley High School in baseball and football, Brian developed into a zealous, dedicated leader. He pursued this passion further at Northern Michigan University, fulfilling his dreams of playing collegiate football. The energy Brian brought to the sport and all other facets of his life was indisputably contagious.

Throughout everything, B never lost sight of his goals, becoming the first person in his family to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree. We are all so incredibly proud of him. On the field, in the classroom, and as a friend, Brian was the life of the party and could bring a smile to anyone’s face.

His infectious spirit, determination, and unrelenting kindness made him truly one of a kind. He was and will continue to be a bright light in our lives. The realest to ever do it. He will forever be missed.

His memorial gathering will be Saturday, March 4, 2023, 1-8 pm at Chas. Verheyden, Inc., 43300 Garfield Rd., Clinton Township, 48038. He viewed life as a celebration and would want all his family and friends to celebrate the time they had with him here.
