Brady's autism evaluation and diagnosis

Hello everyone! My name is Melanie. I am doing this fundraising to help my 2 and a half year old get the help he needs. He has a developmental delay (non verbal) and may also be autistic. We have been on the waiting list for the public system but it takes so long here in Quebec (a yr or more) and there isn't much help if not evaluated.

I want to get him evaluated for autism in the private sector but it is so costly. And as a stay at home mom, it is hard to come up with the money for it. And it hurts us knowing he can get all the help needed but can't afford it.

The funds will be used for his evaluation and the steps needed for the psychoeducator and neuropsychologist to put us on the right track to better his communication skills and the right guidance for him and us.

On May 8th we finally have our first appointment! First of many to go. We can reach our goal everyone!!

Bonjour à tous! Je m'appelle Mélanie. Je fais cette collecte de fonds pour aider mon fils de 2 ans et demi à obtenir l'aide dont il a besoin. Il a un retard de développement (non verbal) et peut aussi être autiste. Nous avons été sur la liste d'attente pour le système public, mais cela prend tellement de temps ici au Québec (un an ou plus) et il n'y a pas beaucoup d'aide si elle n'est pas évaluée.

Je veux le faire évaluer pour l'autisme dans le secteur privé, mais c'est tellement coûteux. Et en tant que mère au foyer, il est difficile de trouver l'argent nécessaire. Et ça nous fait mal de savoir qu'il peut obtenir toute l'aide nécessaire mais qu'il n'a pas les moyens de se l'offrir.

Les fonds serviront à son évaluation et aux démarches nécessaires au psychoéducateur et au neuropsychologue pour nous mettre sur la bonne voie afin d'améliorer ses habiletés de communication et la bonne orientation pour lui et pour nous.
