Hi, my name is Alex and I’m fundraising for my best friend Rebecca Greenwood, Becky gave birth to 2 beautiful babies on 16th of August, within 2 weeks of bringing home Harry and Esmae, Becky started with symptoms of what she thought were panic attacks, after weeks of struggling with these painful symptoms Becky was taken to hospital for tests and scans, she has had a gruelling wait for results in hospital, Becky was initially diagnosed with a brain tumour in which we were hoping it would be removed and she would fully recover, Becky had most of the tumour removed and some was left in which they couldn’t take out, again waiting on more results to see what sort of tumour it is and what treatments were available, finally on the 12th October Becky was diagnosed with a high grade Glioma tumour which is incurable brain cancer and has been given 14 months to live. Becky is 33 years old. This has absolutely shattered her and her family’s life, there are no words to describe how devastating this is for her. Becky will not only leave behind her twin babies, she will leave her young son and daughter George and Jasmine too, No child should go without their mother, the impact this will and already has had on her children is unbearable. Becky has suffered so much in the last couple of month in what should be the most precious time, she will start radiotherapy and chemotherapy in the next couple of weeks, this will not cure the cancer, this is to stop any new cells growing. I am fundraising today after a lot of research we have found one possible treatment which could possibly save Becky’s life or at least pro long her and give her as much quality of life as she deserves, the treatment will be £2000 for the course over this next year. This treament I cannot state on here for legal reasons could give Becky her life back and a future for her and her children and family. We are praying that we can raise this amount, any small amount of donation would help towards this treatment no matter how small, Becky is beyond grateful for any donation made. Together we could save her, she has been incredibly strong throughout all this I really don’t know how she is doing it but she is and she is putting everything in to fighting this.
