This is Baratu. She is an 8-year-old Ghanaian girl who has suffered a devastating complication after undergoing emergency surgery to remove her gallbladder. She has needed two operations within a short space of time and has been left with a complication that requires major reconstructive surgery.
Before the major surgery, she requires nutritional support and close monitoring to stop her from developing sepsis.
She will then need to travel hundreds of miles to the main University Hospital to have the surgery.
Without this corrective surgery she will have months of recurrent infections and general decline and her young precious life may be cut short.
How you can help:
Everything you donate will go towards covering the cost of her ongoing medical care, and the cost of the surgery and aftercare.
Every donation—no matter the size—makes a difference. Your support can help bring hope, healing, and a future to a little girl who’s been through so much.
Thank you in advance for your contribution.
