Hello, my name is Kate Roach and I'm an aunt to Baby Virginia and sister to Ann Dodge. After her birth on February 13th, 2022, Baby Virginia was brought to the UMMC PICU in Baltimore and diagnosed with pulmonary atresia. She has undergone open heart surgery and a balloon catheter procedure, both of which were succesful. There are many uncertainties on the road ahead for Ann, Gideon, and Virginia that will include a lengthy stay at the hospital. Ann and Gideon were able to obtain housing at the Ronald McDonald house to stay close to Virginia throughout her stay at the hospital. Virginia will likely be in the hospital through March to continue tests and monitoring. All funds will go to Ann and Gideon to help pay for Virginia's medical bills.
