Hi, we are Amy, Elle and Jess

We are three final year medical students currently volunteering in Dixcove, Ghana for our medical elective. It is a small Government hospital providing healthcare to the local communities.

During our time here, we have experienced multiple heart wrenching situations that have resulted in the unfortunate loss of patients in cardiac arrest. Due to a lack of funding, the hospital is unable to source a working AED, which had it been available, may have resulted in different outcomes.

After witnessing these losses, including an adolescent, we have been deeply moved and determined to provide this hospital with the lifesaving equipment they desperately need.

We appreciate anything you can give towards purchasing an AED for this hospital.
