Raising money to get USMLE Step 1 tutor

Hello there, I'm Malena, a second-year medical student at Albany Medical College. I'm pursuing my dream of becoming a surgeon, and part of that journey involves the challenging USMLE board exams. My first hurdle, the USMLE Step 1, an 8 hour exam that covers all information that was taught to us in our first 2 years is scheduled for February 9th. I truly believe that having a tutor's guidance would significantly improve my chances of success, but unfortunately, I can't manage the cost on my own.
In my heart, I'm a passionate advocate for prehealth students. I've been mentoring them for free, assisting them in their journey to medical school, offering support with mock interviews, and helping craft their personal statements. During my time in graduate school, I even founded a nonprofit dedicated to aiding underserved disabled individuals with their daily activities. In medical school, I've taken it a step further by creating a service learning program where we, as medical students, act as health coaches for at risk teenagers living with diabetes.
Service has always been at the core of my life, and now I'm reaching out to my community for support. With your help, I can pass Step 1 exam using a tutor, learning the study and testing skills that med school hasn’t covered. I’ll be able to continue my education, have a stronger foundation for USMLE Step 2 and Step 3, achieve my goals to become a knowledgeable top physician in my field and ultimately give back to the community on a much larger scale. Your contribution would mean the world to me and bring me one step closer to making a difference in the lives of others. Thank you for considering my cause.
