Raise money for Sarcoma UK

On the 12th October I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon. I have chose to raise money for Sarcoma UK as in February this year, we a lost a very special person to this awful disease. My fiancés nan Margaret was diagnosed with a lung Sarcoma in late 2024. She went on to fight the most incredibly brave battle. Throughout her diagnosis Margaret remained so strong, always had a smile on her face and had such a strong determination to beat this disease. Not once did she complain, despite being so unwell, and was always reassuring everyone around her that she would be fine. Unfortunately, due to the awful nature of Sarcoma, it quickly took over her body and watching how unwell it made her is something I wish no family to see. Margaret was like another nan to me, and if I could raise money to help ensure someone and their family does not have to go through the same, then it will be worth it. The charity use their donations to carry out life saving research, improve treatment and offer support for people and their families. Every donation would be so greatly appreciated.
I am by no means a runner! But, I know that if I have even a small amount of the strength Margaret had, then I will be able to do it. I will be thinking of her the whole way round, and remember her infectious laugh and amazing hugs which I miss so much. I hope I make you proud Margaret.
