Raise Light Foundation, Uganda

Hallo ihr Lieben,

ich Elisabeth und mein Mann möchten den Leiter Deus, von der Organisation "Raise Light Foundation" in Uganda, dabei unterstützen, zusammen mit seinen Mitarbeitern, für ca. 30 Waisenkinder ein Land zu kaufen, inklusive Wasserversorgung durch den Kauf eines Wassertanks, Hütten für Mädchen und Jungs, Betten und Matratzen, sowie den Bau einer großen Hütte für eine Schule, die am Wochenende als Gottesdienstraum genutzt werden kann.

Das vorgesehene Land, ca. 3700 qm, wurde bereits angezahlt.

Nach unserem Besuch in September 24 in Mirambi, Kyotera, Uganda, konnten wir die Arbeit von Deus näher kennen lernen. Raise Light Fondation ist eine christliche Organisation die sich mit sehr viel Liebe um Waisenkinder kümmert, die teilweise durch COVID ihre Eltern verloren haben. Die Großmutter von Deus ermöglichte ihm auf ihrem kleinen Grundstück 30 Kinder aufzunehmen und somit Unterkunft, sehr knappe Schlafmöglichkeiten, Essen und Reinigung auf einfachem Niveau zu ermöglichen. Deus und seine Mitarbeiter haben ein Stück Land gemietet, dort erwarten sie bald Mais ernten zu können. Durch die Anzucht von Kaffeepflanzenstecklingen konnten Kleinpflanzen vermehrt und bereits verkauft werden. Einige Pflanzen werden wiederum in Töpfen zum Selbstanbau aufbewahrt, für ein Stück Land das jetzt erworben werden soll. Die Wasserversorgung ist an dem Ort nicht gegeben. Die Kinder müssen mit Wasserkanistern zum nächsten Tümpel, ca. 40 Min entfernt, laufen. Der Weg dorthin ist nicht ungefährlich. Das Land auf dem sie jetzt wohnen gehört der Großmutter von Deus. Auf diesem Grundstück wohnen auch einige Verwandte, die vor Deus erbberechtigt sind, falls die Großmutter (92) einmal sterben sollte. Deus vermutet dann alles zu verlieren und nicht mehr für die Kinder sorgen zu können. Als ich darüber nachdachte, Deus auf diesem Wege zu unterstützen, etwas eigenes zuhaben und weiterhin für die Kinder sorgen zu können, war ich gerade mit meinem Hund spazieren und fragte Gott, ob sich Menschen finden werden, die dieses Projekt mittragen? Plötzlich sah ich auf dem Boden Geld auf dem Weg liegen. Erstmal sah ich 2 Cent, dann 50 Cent und dann 1 €. Ich sammelte das Geld ein und hielt es in der Hand. Ich erkannte sofort Gottes Antwort auf meine Frage. Jeder wird geben was er geben kann, der eine wenig, der eine mittel und der eine mehr. Wir möchten uns im Voraus bei jedem Geber und Unterstützer bedanken. Ganz egal was du gibst, der Herr möge dein Leben reichlich dafür segnen.

I Elisabeth and my husband would like to support the leader Deus, from the organization “Raise Light Foundation” in Uganda, together with his employees, to buy land for about 30 orphans, including water supply through the purchase of a water tank, huts for girls and boys, beds and mattresses, as well as the construction of a large hut for a school that can be used as a place of worship at weekends.

The planned land, approx. 3700 square meters, has already been paid for.

After our visit in September 24 in Mirambi, Kyotera, Uganda, we were able to get to know the work of Deus better. Raise Light Fondation is a Christian organisation that lovingly cares for orphans, some of whom have lost their parents due to COVID. Deus' grandmother enabled him to take in 30 children on her small property and thus provide accommodation, very limited sleeping facilities, food and cleaning at a basic level. Deus and his employees have rented a piece of land where they expect to be able to harvest maize soon. By growing coffee plant cuttings, small plants have been propagated and have already been sold. Some plants are kept in pots for self-cultivation, for a piece of land that is now to be purchased.

There is no water supply at the site. The children have to walk with water canisters to the nearest pond, about 40 minutes away. The way there is not without danger. The land on which they now live belongs to Deus' grandmother. Some relatives also live on this property, who are entitled to inherit before Deus, if his grandmother (92) should die. Deus suspects that he would then lose everything and would no longer be able to look after the children. As I was thinking about supporting Deus in this way, having something of my own and being able to continue to care for the children, I was out walking my dog and asked God if there would be people who would support this project? Suddenly I saw money lying on the ground on the path. First I saw 2 cents, then 50 cents and then €1. I collected the money and held it in my hand. I immediately recognised God's answer to my question. Everyone will give what they can, some will give a little, some will give medium and some will give more.
