Raise funds to help with an employment tribunal’s legal fees

Hi my name is Eunice Graca I need to raise funds to help me with an employment tribunal’s legal fees. I have spent a year battling my former employer FirstPort Retirement Property Ltd, a big property management company, who after 14 years of employment failed to manage the TUPE process, ( this is a process whereby your job role is transferred to a new company ) in this case my employers were dismissed from managing the property and a new Residents association won the right to manage themselves. On the day of transfer, without any prior notice, the Residents Association refused to employ me. From the next day I had no job, no redundancy, no pay. Without documentation I was unable to claim benefits for 7 months. This had massive consequences, to my credit score, my tenancy, my ability to live and pay my bills. I have relied wholly on the charity of relatives. My union were fantastic and allocated me a solicitor which took me to a preliminary hearing with a judge. Here is what I have learned; in cases like this the union cannot afford to risk protracted legal arguments in court, they want you to settle beforehand, and I could not agree to do this for under the £10k offer, after a year of abandonment by my employers. I couldn’t find a no win no fee solicitor because the work in court will be expensive to decide who is liable, ( my employer or my potential new employer neither of whom will cooperate with each other or me ). There are additional complications in that I had a stroke 6 months before the handover date and I was just returning to work. The judge at the preliminary hearing, where I represented myself, understood the medical implications the stress has had on me subsequently. I have produced all my medical evidence because this is why I cannot work at the moment to support myself and these legal proceedings. My request on this GoFund page is for any donation to help me bring my case against my employers and the Residents Association. There is simply no legal aid available for me, and Ihave no ability to borrow more money after a year. I am on benefits through no fault of my own, I am determined to win back my life and seek only recognition for this corporate failing and subsequent negligence with money that will compensate me for 14 years of dedication to my job. I will expose company names and the details after the tribunal. I hope this is a warning of how few real rights we have in our workforce. The law is prohibitively expensive for people like myself to bring justice. If you can please help all money will be paid to my new solicitor who is anticipating four days in court.
