Raise funds for lasting memories!

⭐️In January 2019- At the young age of 31- One of the mummy's of a little girl that attends our Little Puddleducks Nursery was diagnosed with a form of Osteosarcoma on her pelvis. She started inpatient chemotherapy but unfortunately it made her extremely poorly and she developed sepsis as well as pneumonia shortly after starting her treatment.

She started further chemotherapy before having major surgery which involved removing half of her pelvis and the main nerve in her leg. Although the tumour was removed- She was told she wouldn't walk again without crutches!

Through the follow-ups ‘A’ has had, they have found numerous other areas of cancer which has meant having high doses of radiotherapy over the last year, which has caused vertebrae in her back to fracture repeatedly.

Last month A and her family received the devastating news that two more cancers had been found on her spine and lymph node. Sadly this cancer is non operable and as a result A started 3 months of palliative chemotherapy last week, to give her some extra time to make special memories with her daughter before she starts school in September.

On Sunday 27th June- Some of the Little Puddleducks team; Sean, Sacha, Sam, Elli, Emily, Daisy, Beth, Abbie, Charley, Katie, Ella and Neil will each be facing their fears and abseiling 150ft down Uphill quarry in North Somerset to raise as much money as they can to  contribute towards some local family day trips and a staycation for the family during this extremely difficult time. 

This will help them make some truly precious memories whilst A receives palliative care.
