Raise funds for Wigan & Leigh Hospice and Prostate Cancer UK

Hi, I'm Peter (Syd) and with the help of my son Leon, we are taking part in the Great North Run, raising funds for two great charities. Wigan & Leigh hospice, which unfortunately has been part of my life twice over the last year and half. They where their when we as a family needed them most, looking after my mum and step dad. They and the family were treated with the utmost dignity throughout their time with the Hospice. As a family we can't thank them enough for their compassion and help they showed us. So raising some money to aid them to continue with there great work is the least we can do.

Secondly we are also raising funds for Prostate Cancer UK. My old man Ken had a number of things contribute to his ill heath at the end. One of which was Prostate Cancer, which he was never tested for and by the time it was found there wouldn't of have been time to treat his condition.

As well as raising funds, we want to remind people how important it is to get tested as it could save your Life.
