For those of you who know my partner Jordan, you know that he is a young, active, and kind man. Jordan cares for everyone around him and has a very kind heart. He has a passion for sports, especially football and is a very active person.
On Monday, the 19th of February, Jordan fell through a skylight landing on his back, around a 3m fall. He has fractured both sides of his nose, fractured 5 ribs on the left side, had a spinal fusion from T9 - L1 and also has spinal cord damage in T8 causing paraplegia. Jordan spent 5 hours in surgery, and has not yet regained feeling below the waist and has been told that he may not ever regain any feeling. He doing well, has been very strong and is still his bubbly self. He has received an unbelievable amount of support from his friends and family and even the Carlton Football Club. In saying that he is in Melbourne.
It is uncertain how long Jordan may be in hospital for, and the cost of living is at an all time high. Jordans family and I have been in Melbourne everyday since the incident, but travelling back and forth between Melbourne and Castlemaine will quickly become costly. All donations will go towards covering fuel and accommodation for Jordans parents and siblings during this unbelievably hard time. The family is going through enough without covering costs of travel.
Do not feel any obligation to donate, but please share this around.
