Raise Funds for Stroke Awareness with Scott
Donation protected
Thank you for visiting my GoFundMe page, I am Scott Haller. My purpose for starting this page stems from suffering a very unexpected stroke in the afternoon of August 7, 2025. While we hope to offset a portion of the coming expenses related to time in the NICU, NCU and currently being in Neuoro Rehabilitation, our primary goal of this page is to raise funds to donate to a partner group to develop public awareness information material, public advertising material and/or other forms of material supporting and advocating routine preventative health care and/or at least annual general health screening visits with a local provider.
Over the last 12 days I have come to appreciate the fact that my stroke was very likely highly preventable. While I was in decent health, routine visits to my local physician and or a simple annual screening assessment very likely would have discovered chronic hypertension which we now believe to be the cause of my stroke. If my experience and messaging going forward can be used to prevent a similar outcome for even a small number of people, starting this page and dedicating efforts to improving access to public awareness information of causation of stroke and methods to prevent such, going through this experience may result benefit to others and prevent persons and families from experiencing the challenges associated with such.
Well we do not have a partner selected as of today our intention is that a minimum of 50% of all proceeds stemming from this page we'll go to efforts to improve awareness and potentially access to medical screening to prevent strokes and or other related clinical presentations. We encourage donations of any monetary value and if you or others are unable to donate we thank you for taking the time to read this page and if you or anyone else you know is of age or health status at which a stroke may pose a threat, even the slightest of threat, please consider scheduling A screening visit with a local practitioner in the very near future. It is an easy thing to continue to deprioritize, but please take my experience as an example of what may happen even when very unlikely and consider how simple spending 30 minutes with a local physician is to preventing something similar happening to you or your family. Take care and once again thank you for visiting this page.
