Hi, my name is Cindy and my organisation, Khulisa Abantwana - Nurturing the Children, is raising funds for the underprivileged children in DuNoon, South Africa.
I believe it is the responsibility of our global community to nurture the children of tomorrow. These children will one day be a part of our society. It is up to us in what capacity these children will participate and contribute to either our successes or our hardships.
Khulisa Abantwana works with local schools in the Dunoon informal township in Cape Town, to give support to their children in any which way they need it.
Projects we have already delivered include;
- Books and Blankets Project
- Reading Corners Project for the Dunoon schools
- Fixing a leaking roof for Bubbly Educare
- Easter Holiday Feeding Programs 2024&2025
- And much more!

Our current projects include;
- Raising funds for a Mindfulness and Yoga Program. We need fruit and water for the kids
- Raising funds for transport costs for our Swim & Squash Programs
- Raising funds to expand the Swim Teacher Trainee Program, which is upskilling teens and adults into becoming swimming teachers
- Raising funds for the Youth Leadership Program, to give the children the ongoing gift of mental and yogarific wellness
- Raising funds to sponsor a few children's monthly school fees.
These projects are all in their initial phases and need resources to grow. My personal passion is the swimming program and Teacher Trainee Program, as it is teaching children a vital lifeskill, which will prevent the completely preventable devastation of a child drowning. Something that has rocked our community too much already this last month.
We cannot do what we do without the champion efforts and donations from our global community.
