Hello
Both my children, Thibault and Mila, attend Stroud Green School in North London, a place where they have always felt trusted, supported and looked after.
Our daughter Mila has special needs and she has particularly benefitted from the school’s commitment and support. When Mila could only communicate with Makaton (sign language), the staff and children were keen to learn some signs and I was delighted when they were totally up for the idea of a school Makaton Singalong in the playground. I remember feeling speechless when I saw them singing & signing to Bob Marley’s ‘Three Little Birds’- for those who know me well, that’s hard to believe!
At Stroud Green School, Mila has always been treated equally and fairly, and thanks to the school’s wonderful values, she has gained so much confidence.
So to support a fantastic school and to celebrate our wonderful children with special needs, I will be running the Porto Marathon on 5th November.
With just 2 weeks to go, I know this doesn’t give me much time to raise money, but I thought I’d take on the challenge and try to raise over £2500 for something that means a lot to me.
So please help me raise money for the Friends of Stroud Green (the registered charity supporting the children and families at Stroud Green School). This money will help support all children with special educational needs (SEN) at the school.
Thank you in advance for your contribution
